Savion Glover brings his personal artistic signature
to the stage in Classical Savion.
A master tap dancer, his performances are thrilling.
Savion dances to excerpts from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons
and other classics, bringing a festival of rhythm to each piece
on the program. He’s joined by his musical ensemble of strings,
harpsichord, drums and piano.
Savion Glover won the 1996 Tony Award for his choreography in the
Broadway smash hit Bring in ‘Da Noise, Bring in ‘Da Funk. He was the
recipient of the 1996 Drama Desk Award, the Outer Critics Circle Award
(choreography), two Obie Awards and two Fred Astaire Awards for his
choreography and performance
in Bring in ‘Da Noise. Additional
Broadway credits include Black and Blue and
Jelly’s Last Jam co-starring Gregory Hines. He
starred in Spike Lee’s feature film,
Bamboozled and made his Broadway debut at
age 12, starring in The Tap Dance Kid. Many
know Savion from Sesame Street where he
was a series regular for five seasons. Don’t
miss Savion Glover -- his dancing is on
another plane from almost anything
else you’ll experience.
